We have been on a tour before in Cartagena, so this time we stayed at the port and walked through the

free bird sanctuary. It was amazing! So many different birds... Parrots galore, flamingos and so much more! We really

enjoyed it.

I was there last year and we are going again next month.   I really enjoyed it----in one of the "walk in cages" where there are many birds also, one of the workers stayed with me while one jumped onto my shoulder.  It was a beautiful bird, he stayed for quite a whele.  My husband was beaise me and the bird began to peck at the strap on his backpack.  It was funny!!!

It was my Husbands Birthday and one of the Parrots wanted up on him, so  one of the workers there said he could let him, but take off the glasses or he will mangle them! It was really nice, he climbed up onto his shoulder.
