Salvador de Bahia

We have visited this port in the past and spent a wonderful time exploring the interesting Pelourinho district using the elevator to get there. My question is can anyone recommend other places or activities that are safe and that can be done on a day in port when we revisit on another cruise?

You might want to check out dobrazilright tours. They have three listed for Salvador de Bahia. Even if you don't want their tour, it gives an idea of places that are generally safe.  We did several days with them in Rio and found them good.
