flcruising89 Posted March 9, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2019 Has anyone been on Symphony and had a POC in St. Kitts? We want to do an excursion outside of the cruise line and they're asking what time we arrive. When the itinerary says 9-6 is that St. Kitts time or ship time (EST)? Thanks for your help! ihopfar Posted March 9, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2019 When are you going? If it is during DST, then I believe St. Kitts and Miami are the same time.

ihopfar Posted March 9, 2019 #4 Share Posted March 9, 2019 I am sure someone will be around to correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding is St. Kiits is Atlantic Standard Time but does not have Daylight Savings Time. So Atlantic Standard Time is one hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time, but is the same as Eastern Daylight Time, if that makes sense.

Yeah definitely makes sense and that would be amazing as having to figure out the time is a bit of a pain.

I'd be more than just a little apprehensive about booking an excursion through a tour company that is not aware of what time the ship arrives in port. Not exactly the most comforting of signs for hiring a tour provider that I would expect to get me back to the ship on time. Knowing the ship time should be one of their priorities.

Scillycruisers Posted March 9, 2019 #8 Share Posted March 9, 2019 Just off the Symphony, everything is done on ship time regardless of which port / time zone you are in.

I don’t think there will be too many other Aussies on the ship with us, our accents should stand out!
