Distance from cruise port to town centre?

We are cruising on the Constellation in May and believes she will dock at Stadsgarden 167.

 

Does anyone know how long it will take to get into the centre of Stockholm using the tube and how often they run?

 

Is Stockholm an easy town to explore on foot?

 

Any 'must see' places?

In each of the ports on Baltic cruises, except St. Petersburg, Celebrity provided free bus transfers from the pier to a central in-town location. Last summer, we took one of the early bus transfers, and caught the changing of the guard at the palace, adjacent to the bus drop off and pick up point. You can easily do a walking tour using the maps provided on the ship. We did this in the morning, and returned to the ship. In the afternoon, DH took the Ice Bar tour, while I did the waterway & canal trip that left from the same pier as the ship was docked. There'a a Viking museum that is excellent, too.
