NCL Epic recommendations iConcierge Texting

We are on the NCL Epic and have several young adults with us that the parents want to be able to keep in touch.  We are a large group and even all the adult want to be able to touch base on the ship if we are going here or there.   What do you know about this app and what do you recommend??   Is it free or a charge per day??  Does it work for just texting to keep in touch???  Any advice will help.  Thanks

iConcierge is now the Cruise Norwegian App. It is a very useful tool before and during the cruise. Download it before you get on board because if you wait until you're onboard you'll need an internet package. The app can be found here: https://www.ncl.com/apps

 

It is free to use to check on your account, make reservations, check out ship board happenings. 

 

For a one time charge (per device) you get unlimited texting and calls while on board the ship to other devices who have the app and purchased the text / call feature. The charge is anywhere between 9.99 and 14.99. 

 

For the most part it's a great tool but texts can be delayed.
