Playa Uvas or Nachi Cocom?

Please advise of your experiences with these resorts .  If you have been to both which do you prefer?

We have been to Playa Uvas twice and really enjoyed it. We wanted a place to both lay on the beach and do some snorkeling and it fit the bill.

 

Pros - Great value. It has both beach area and really good snorkeling and includes a guided snorkel tour and equipment. The open bar is a good deal too if you are a drinker. The food if you order a la carte from the restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. I would recommend this over the all inclusive buffet option.

 

Cons - The beach (and also the pool) is small. There are rocks (iron shore) as you enter the water. This makes for a less desirable beach but better snorkeling.

 

The staff is friendly and service was great. There are nice places to lounge in the shade if you want. If you are wanting to save some money it is a good option.

Lots of positive reviews for Nachi on this board and Trip Advisor. Nice beach where some have complained that the sand is too soft!  Great food, service, drinks and a relaxed atmosphere.
