MrPete Posted April 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2004 In a readers poll conducted by Conte Naste Travel magazine, by its subscribers, the results are: Paradise Carnival Conquest Carnival Victory Unfortuneatly, they came in at numbers 23, 24 and 29 respectively amongst 30 top large ships. These ships were rated on itineraries, crew/services, cabin/design, food/dining, and activities/excursions. The ship that came in number 1 was the Celebrity Constellation. I guess Conde Naste needs more Carnival subscribers. __ /7__/7__/7____ \:::::::::::::::::::/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Miracle 7/10/04 NY to Bahamas and Port Canaveral Disney Wonder 3/04 Pride 7/03 Bermuda Legend 10/02 CTN Disney Wonder 9/02 Destiny 4/01 Southern Caribbean Victory 9/00 Canadian Maritimes Triumph 9/99 Canadian Maritimes Jubilee 4/98 Trans Pacific/Hawaii Imagination 4/97 Western Caribbean Imagination 4/96 Western Caribbean Fascination 4/95 Southern Caribbean Ecstasy 4/18/93 Eastern Caribbean Fantasy 9/90 Bahamas Jubilee 5/90 Mexican Riviera NCL Seaward 1/89 Western Caribbean Jubilee 4/88 Eastern Caribbean

JohnnyO Posted April 12, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 12, 2004 I guess I am more concerned with having fun and not having to always dress up.....The people on the Carnival ships are the reason that I prefer them....not how much I can spend on something that I consider to not be necessary to having my prefered type of fun. Carnival has enough money to buy their own cable channel....LOL...an all Carnival channel would give us all the info that we would ever need. MrPete Posted April 12, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted April 12, 2004 What is interesting is out of the 30 top ships, 7 are Celebrity, 10 are RCL, 7 are Princess, 2 are Disney, 1 is Cunard, and 3 are Carnival.
CruiseFever Posted April 12, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 12, 2004 Actually that's a pretty good showing for Carnival. It used to be that the only CCL ship to make ANY of these lists was the Paradise and only because it was non-smoking. It's true- the cruise world still hates us There must be coupons for Hamburger Helper in Traveler now. halos Posted April 12, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 12, 2004 I guess the folks doing those reviews just aren't FUN people. Too bad.... It's OK, we don't need them to tell us how great Carnival is anyway..... Chris, I cut that coupon for Hamburger Helper and used it at the Wal-Mart.
