centerpoint Posted January 22, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2006 Anyone know what's up with Valor's rear-facing webcam? It's been "out" for about two weeks now!
DougD137 Posted January 23, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2006 I was wondering the same thing.
salty dingo Posted January 23, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 23, 2006 Since it is a solid blue, like a TV is on video mode, I suspect some wire came loose and no one has gone to fix it. The company that does Valor's webcam also does Carnival Liberty, but that is all, so I suspect that Carnival needs to schedule a service call on the rear camera. centerpoint Posted January 23, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted January 23, 2006 I was surprised one time when I e-mailed Carnival and asked them to clean off the lense (because something had smudged the lens) and it was done within 24 hours of my e-mail to them. Maybe another e-mail is in order...
salty dingo Posted January 23, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 23, 2006 The lenses frequently have water droplets on them during rain storms. I have often wondered how they keep the sea spray from accumulating a salty crud on them. Maybe they have the little moving plastic lens protectors like the in-car cameras used in the NASCAR races? Or maybe someone has been emailing Carnival every time the lens gets dirty
