Hello,

Anybody has done “St John on your own” or “St John Trunk Bay Beach & Snorkel”?

“St John on your own” do we have to pay for entrance fee and taxi ride to turtle bay?

Trying to cost it out for 2 adults and 1 child. We have our own snorkel gears but is it worth it cost wise just doing St John snorkel excursion? I believe this excursion includes the entrance fee.

Thank you!

How much is each? If you are going to trunk, cab is $8 plus $6 each extra person one way. Admission for trunk is $4 a person with kids being free (but I think the fee may be still waived with hurricane). So $40 for cab fare. Possibly $8 for admission which is $48. Now personally being an avid snorkeler, I would do the self explore. Ship excursions with snorkeling tend to be too crowded and much time is wasted on explanations which is monotonous for those who have snorkeled before. You didn't give your childs age but I'm thinking they would have a much better time snorkeling from land. They can enjoy the boat experience up and back. I've done the st. John on your own 4x and really like the freedom. Another option is to hike the lindberg trail to honeymoon beach then take a water taxi back.
