XCaret - 5 Day on Celebration

Has anyone done XCaret from the Celebration recently?

The current itinerary shows the first port as Cozumel from 9am to 12 midnight and second Calica from 7am to 4pm. A friend went out of Galveston last year on the Jubilee and they were in Calica first from 9am to midnight and they got to really enjoy XCaret. Since now the itinerary has the ports swapped there won't be as much time for XCaret. We really wanted to see the night time shows but now it looks like we won't get to.

Did you feel you got your monies worth? What time did you leave the park to catch the ship?

Thanks -

-- Cheryl

My wife and I did it last year in May, it was definitely well worth the money. Just do your best to disembark as soon as you can. If you do the excursion through the ship, you'll have no worries in getting back in time. I would have loved to have seen the nighttime shows, but there's a LOT to do there. You will not be disappointed.

It sounds like a great place - so I'm sure we will do it - it's just disappointing to know we are paying the same price as those we get to stay all day and we have to leave early. I hear there is a lot to do.

My friend said the underground river was the best. Which part would you say is a "don't miss"?

DH & I were talking about this place just tonight. How does one pronounce Xcaret? thanks for the info, I hate to keep saying it "sh car ay" since I'm pretty sure this is wrong. All I learned while in Coz in March was that the "X" in Xel is pronounced "sh" so I came up with my own for Xcaret!!

I was just at Xcaret in March while on The Navigator. It's pronounced like Carrot with an X in front of it. That's how the guides pronounced it - X-carrot. Our excursion was duing the day and lasted 8 hours total with the ferry ride over and back included. It was our favorite excursion and I can't wait to go back. Xcaret is pure paradise during the day. I could have spent 3 days there. Go and enjoy and don't feel like you're missing out, look at it as a reason to come back another time for the night shows!

Happy Cruising!

It's pronounced ish-ka-ret, not ish-carrot, but you'll see that as soon as you get there. And do go, it is well worth the $$.

I really like the idea of going back at another time to see the night shows. Gives me an excuse to book another cruise.
