Late arrival to hotel

Our flight gets in around 1 am...just wonder how to book the room? For Jan 2 and hope the hotel keep our room or tell them we will be very late?

Does your flight arrive at 1am on January 2 or 1am on January 3? Reserve the room for the night before (so if your flight arrives at 1am on January 3, book January 2 arrival) and look for a hotel that has a guaranteed late arrival, which most do with a credit card. You can be extra safe by calling or shooting them an email.

Yes we arrive 1am Jan 3.  I’ve booked a Hampton Inn for Jan 2.  But I’ll email them just to be safe.  Thank you!

Notifying them is a good idea.  It will let them know you'll be arriving late, but you can also confirm that they have a 24-hour front desk.  Not all hotels have this.
