Shuttle bus, Japan

Hello,

 

wondering if Azamara wil provide free (or not) shuttle bus in any Japan cruise location , if so any experience where they will land you.

We were docked at Okinawa from 2pm to 9pm in March 2016. This stop was pretty much no more than a tedious, quite lengthy immigration procedure, which meant we did not have to do it at Osaka where we docked 2 days later.

One ship arranged tour was offered at Okinawa and was over an hour late leaving due to the immigration procedure.

We reached Osaka at 5pm and had 2 overnights before leaving the ship at the end of the cruise. We did not need a shuttle, as we were quite close to transport from the port area to near Osaka Castle.

I am sure other cruisers will have more information on other Japanese ports of call.

Of course things may be different over 3 years later.
