zencruisers Posted June 25, 2019 Author #103 Share Posted June 25, 2019 Day 3 The Flyby pills worked their magic. Thanks again Sid_9169! We started the day off at the breakfast buffet. I am pretty consistent on getting an omelette at the omelette station. After breakfast it was time for Tito’s and OJ and went back to the cabin for a bit. We getting ready to head into a brief rainstorm which last about 10 minutes. We got to wittness an amazing rainbow. The picture does not do it justice. The rainbow actually made a full circle but I was not able to capture it with camera.

zencruisers Posted June 26, 2019 Author #105 Share Posted June 26, 2019 (edited) We made it to Roatan. It was a little windy but a beautiful day. It looks like they are in the process of adding another dock. Edited June 26, 2019 by zencruisers Spelling

HA HA.... you already answered this....so I looked Hampton Inn up and well....changed my hotel ressie......again...…. Your report is the only one that has given me an idea of the costs to transport to a hotel, to the port. I thank you for that. This is the first time we are flying into FLL. We are using miles and couldn't get into MIA using them. And yes I am! Looking to see if you have any posts every dang day. Oh wait...one answer for Mr. and one from Mrs. maybe? zencruisers Posted June 28, 2019 Author #114 Share Posted June 28, 2019 Today in Roatan we are doing the South Shore Zipline Adventure. This excursion was through the ship with a cost of $99. We had to be down on the dock at 9:45 am. We were down in plenty of time to join the mass of humanity gathered on the dock.We did not have any problem finding our gat hering place. There we plenty of tour guides with sign describing what tour was what. As the tour guide takes your ticket they put a wristband on you to make sure you are in the right group. zencruisers Posted June 28, 2019 Author #115 Share Posted June 28, 2019 We waited for about 15 or 20 minute then we were we off to the van that was waiting in the parking lot. It was a little chaotic getting out of the parking lot. Their is only one driveway in and out to the main road. With all of the tours that we leaving at 10am it was quite crowded. Our tour guide Angelica did a great time keeping us entertained. She told us a lot about life on the island.
zencruisers Posted June 29, 2019 Author #116 Share Posted June 29, 2019 i snapped a few snapped a few pictures on the way to the zipline excursion. I don't think OSHA was on the island today The drive takes about 20 minutes once you leave port. Along the way you get some good views of the water. zencruisers Posted June 29, 2019 Author #117 Share Posted June 29, 2019 Once you get to South Shore Zipline they go over the do and don'ts safety wise. We were soon harnessed up and ready to go! There are 12 different ziplines to go on. The first one being the slowest and shortest. That way you get used to how you slow yourself down. You are treated to some great views.

zencruisers Posted July 2, 2019 Author #119 Share Posted July 2, 2019 We did a total of 12 ziplines. I would say the time zilpining is about 2 hours. The staff is friendly and they stress safety. At one point they asked who wanted to go upside down. There were about 6 of that volunteered. When you upside down, you go with one the guides. I knew if i didn't do it i would regret it later.
zencruisers Posted July 2, 2019 Author #120 Share Posted July 2, 2019 Soon it was time to head back to port. It was nice to get backed in a air conditioned van. Being from Phoenix, AZ we are used to the heat but with out humidity. I snapped more pics on the way back. Someday we will stop and take out picture here. There she is ! zencruisers Posted July 2, 2019 Author #121 Share Posted July 2, 2019 We were soon back at port and we did a little shopping. We did find this cool little place where everything they sold was re- purposed.Even the shopping bags they put you merchandise in were made out of used newspapers. Everything they sold was made on the island. Time for the obligatory port photo.

zencruisers Posted July 3, 2019 Author #125 Share Posted July 3, 2019 We did Cagney's but I have no food porn from there. It is kind of dark in there and i didn't feel right about using the flash and disrupting others. After dinner we did Rock Of Ages. We really enjoyed it. It was funny to watch the reaction of some of the others around us when it came to some of the subject matter. We did see some people leave while shaking there heads in disbelief. I wondered what they thought the show was about? Walking in and seeing the set pretty much explained it all.
