Royal Quays Outlet Centre, Newcastle

I believe this retail centre is near the Port of Tyne - is it walkable from where FO ships are located ?

 

It appears to be on the north side of the river, and I can't remember if Fred berths on the south or not.

Yes, about half-a-mile. (But it is uphill)

 

Google maps, satellite view, actually has Balmoral in port.

Apolgies for appearing dense - just to sure, FO berths near the Outlet Centre ?

It's not clear on the maps I found.

Just follow the road that the Outlet Centre is on, Coble Dene, towards the river. Just before you go Splash! the ferry/cruise terminal is on your right and the usual berth is on your left (we did once dock right at the terminal).

 

About half a mile uphill towards the outlet, but that means once you’re laden with packages it’s downhill back to the ship.

Here is a a list of the shops available. There seems to be more than there were the last time we were there (perhaps due in some parts to more frequent cruise ship visits).
