petuniaflower Posted June 21, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2019 Does anyone have experience visiting Camp Nou after flight arrival before they board their ship? We had hoped to spend a couple hours there, but unsure of what to do with our luggage.
hkto Posted June 21, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2019 (edited) I can see two options: either be the first to check into the cruise (may be around noon) and then go to Camp Nou or take Renfe train from T2 terminal to Sants station, leave luggage there, do the tour, come back and then cab to port. Renfe takes T10 ticket (10 rides for 10.2€) that later can be used on metro to go to Camp Nou and back. Edited June 21, 2019 by hkto

We just booked flights and wont be able to make it there on way down but are now hoping to after debarkation, as flights are at 2pm. But still have the luggage issue. When you say leave luggage at Sans station, is that a train station with lockers of some sort?
hkto Posted June 24, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 24, 2019 Sants is a train station, has luggage storage and direct train to airport. Camp Nou is about 25 min by metro from Sants but 2pm makes it tight as tour open around 10am and you should be at airport at noon at the latest. https://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/en/transport/stations/estacio-sants/left-luggage-sants-station.html
hkto Posted June 24, 2019 #5 Share Posted June 24, 2019 Since time is tight I would hire taxi driver in port, go to Camp Nou and then to the airport. Official tariff for wait time is 22.40€ per hour.
petuniaflower Posted June 24, 2019 Author #6 Share Posted June 24, 2019 Or maybe we might have time to go on the way to the cruise?? We arrive in BCN about 1230pm, says our embark time is 330pm, ship leaves at 6pm. Would we have time this way? As youre right, Id prefer to be at the airport on return closer to 3 hours prior. Do you have experience with Bags and Go company? Im not sure if Im pushing it at this point..but would really like to check it out even for an hour/two. hkto Posted June 24, 2019 #7 Share Posted June 24, 2019 If you are going on Air Transat they are not in a rush. And not even disclosing why they are late. Last I took them they were 3 hrs late (arrived close to 4pm) which made cruise passengers scramble to get to port on time. Would've been a good case for cancellation/interruption insurance. As far as Camp Nou goes if they arrive on time it takes at least 30-45 min to disembark. So again taxi to stadium, wait and then port might work. It's pricey but doable.
