Rare ORV Posted June 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2019 I've done it. If you like pie and blueberries get the Blueberry pie in Bar Harbor. I forget the name of the restaurant but any local can tell you the name. Many of the ports have little shacks where you can get a lobster roll fairly inexpensive. Acadia is great. One tip would be to find one of the websites that show when the viewing is optimal for the color. Portland is very walkable as the main drag is right at the cruise port. Totally unlike most cruise ports, although they still have plenty of the souvenir shops etc. We took a tour where we rode through Acadia in a wagon on the gravel roads that Rockefeller built that are off limits to cars. We enjoyed that a lot although it wasn't long enough. The seafood is really great in that area pretty much everywhere.
