Has anyone done this shore excursion?   How was it?  How did it work?  Do you just leave the boat at Costa Maya and then they get you back on the ship in Cozumel?

According to the excursion information on RCCL's site, you leave Costa Maya, overnight in Chichen Itza and then return to the ship on day 2 in Cozumel.  If you're into Maya ruins looks like a good way to see these without a land vacation.  TA reviews of Mayaland Hotel at Chichen Itza are positive.  Excursion looks expensive until you factor in the hotel and meals.  But lots of travel time too.  Hoping the 3rd party vendor has a good bus.  could get cancelled if minimum don't reserve 2 days in advance.

Thank you.  That's what I thought would happen, but I wanted to get a second opinion from someone with more cruise experience.

I logged in to a message that said they had changed our ports.  This is no longer offered.  :(  I called and the employee seemed to know anything about this excursion.  She acted like I had dreamed it up. I called back and a second employee stated that he had never heard of it.  He did more research though and told me it wasn't available any more.  :(
