Bermuda July 31-Aug 2 - Cricket Cup impact?

Cruising to Bermuda July 31-Aug 2 on Celebrity Summit.  I believe the Cricket Cup matches are Aug 1 & 2.  Will businesses be open in St. George and the Dockyard on these days?  We were planning on spending Friday morning Aug 2 in St George and the afternoon on Thursday Aug 1 in the Dockyard.  Concerned that shops and dining establishments may be closed due to the Cup matches.  Any info is appreciated.

Cup Match is a big deal Bermuda and  August 1 is Emancipation Day and August 2 is Somers Day. Those are two major public holidays. Bermudains make it into a four day weekend. The match itself will be on August 1, this year in St. Goerge's. In Hamiltion and St. George's most of the shops will be closed. Restaurants generally stay open.Shops in the Dockyard should be open as they mainly exist for cruise passengers. Buses run on a Sunday schedule. Ferries on their regular schedules.

If I was in Bermuda those dates I would do this VIP cup match experience.

Thanks- I saw this yesterday  somewhere and my son and I are looking in to it now.   I think this would be great fun.
