Rental car in cannes

We  are in Cannes on 10/16/19 on the Norwegian Pearl and looking to rent a car for the day to Eze and St Paul de Vence.  We have been to both before, but it has been several years. We have an option of picking up the car in either Cannes or Antibes ...which is much cheaper!  We have heard that Antibes is a great place to visit, but we are wondering if the logistics of getting there is worth the cost savings and time.

Not sure why you are getting a much lower rate in Antibes.  But renting in Cannes does make more sense since you can walk from the tender pier to nearly all the rental car offices (most are within 1 mile).  Renting in Antibes means you would have to either walk (or get a taxi) to the Cannes train station (further then most of the rental car offices) and wait for a train to Antibes...or take a regional bus over to Antibes.  Antibes is a nice place for a visit (they have a decent indoor market) and we will sometimes rent a car in Cannes, drive to St Paul de Vence for a few hours and lunch, and then drive over to Antibes for a visit before taking the slower coastal route back to Cannes.   Adding Eze to the mix does substantially increase your driving time but Eze is certainly worth a visit.  Actually, if you are going to drive all the way to Eze you might want to consider tossing in a short visit to Nice.  Nice is especially nice in the morning when the Flower Market (a lot more then flowers) is in full business.
