Rare pierces Posted July 11, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2019 (edited) Very small. Smaller than the Sony A7. A little bigger than the Sony RX1 but with an interchangeable lens mount (Panazonic/Leica L mount). 24MP traditional Bayer sensor (not three-layer Foveon like other Sigma cameras) with contrast-detect focusing. No sensor stabilization mentioned. Video up to 4K/24p. No mechanical shutter. It has an optional larger handgrip, bolt-on EVF and bolt-on hotshoe which moves it into the A7/A9 range, size-wise. I'm not sure what niche this will fall into. Maybe cinema-centric users since the sensor is heat-sinked? Announcement article over on DPReview: https://www.dpreview.com/news/6719748669/sigma-announces-ultra-compact-fp-l-mount-camera-teases-full-frame-foveon-sensor Interesting times!
