tysmomm Posted July 14, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2019 Hi All. I have been an avid cruiser with Princess for over 20 years, but as my two sons have grown older they have enjoyed the Princess ships less and less. There just isn't much for the teenagers to do on the Princess ships. This past June, as we were concluding our Princess 2019 cruise, they boys begged me to book our next cruise on a different cruise line. Sorry Princess; we're still loyal! 🙂 Anyhow, I am thinking about booking a Caribbean cruise next March, 2020 on the Norwegian Epic, but thought I would see what others knew about the ship activities for teenagers. I read about the water park and slides, etc. I guess there is a bowling alley. Any teenager night clubs or teenager casinos, rope courses, etc. on the Epic? I welcome everyone's thoughts. Thank you in advance!

Thank you in advance! We are seniors and the Epic was not our favorite NCL ship. The pool area was very small, crowded with loud speaker announcement. Couldn't go there. There did seem to be water slides and things that a teen would enjoy. We did find the average age on Epic was lower than on any other ship we have cruised. Epic has a bowling alley and a great cir sole show.
Rare Huntingdon1701 Posted July 14, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2019 The Epic has a good, but gentle, waterslide, climbing wall, and arcade which sould all appeal. There is also table tennis and a Wii wall (although have only ever seen staff using it), plus the bowling alley lanes. You might also want to consider Breakaway or Getaway, which have all the above plus some more thrilling waterslides and a full blown rope course with walk the plank option. The other Away class ships have other types of activity, including go karts and a laser game.
Kfamilycruise Posted July 14, 2019 #4 Share Posted July 14, 2019 From my own teen's mouth: It has a great teen lounge and waterslides and the pool isn't saltwater. Definitely bowling alley lanes are a plus too. Great option for teens!
gatorchinsky Posted July 14, 2019 #5 Share Posted July 14, 2019 My teen son liked the Epic and thought Entourage was good. He does prefer Getaway and Escape because of the ropes course and better slides. He only thought the Bliss was okay because the go karts were disappointing to him. The times he was suppose to do laser tag were cancelled because of weather.
