Belize cave tubing

Does anyone know of any tour operator to recommend to go cave tubing or should be just book it thru the cruise live (Carnival Valor)? Do you know if this should be booked through a tour operator before sailing or are there opportunities to get this tour right from someone on the pier? Thanks

Hi:

We sailed on the Valor the end of November, as this was our first cruise, we had the same question about going on an excursion with Carnival, or an outside vendor. We ended up booking tours with outside vendors because it was quite abit more reasonable. I wouldn't wait until you get there, but would book ahead, so you know where to go etc, and you know the company is reputable, and will get you back to the ship on time. When we were in Belize we booked with Reggie Tours for Cave tubing-it was great! Have fun on your cruise-we sure did!

Using a private vendor for cave tubing not only saves money. It also allows you to go with a smaller group and get more personalized attention. We intended to go with a private vendor last summer, but my daughter won a free excursion from Carnival so we took that instead. It was fun, but everything took longer as they dealt with busloads of people.

Two of the vendors who seem to get the most positive reviews are Yhonny (www-cave-tubing.com) and Reggie tours.

Definitely above all do not book your excursion on the ship. Book it through Cave-Tubing.com. They were wonderful! Safety is their number one concern! They only charge $45. And our ship charged $85. You don't go up as high on the hike and you don't go down as far on your tube. They are more one-on-one as for questions and help. And a lot more fun! Wonderful guys! A must for Belize! :p

One more enthusiastic vote for cave-tubing.com. We went with them last week and can't recommend them enough. We felt very safe. The water was not too cold, the walk is not too strenuous. Do NOT book through the ship! These guys meet you right where they promise, and don't take money til it's over. They are super nice!

I know this is weird but I have to ask when you go cave tubing are you completely on your own or are there bathrooms anywhere along the way.

Going with someone who has a slight problem so just want to know how uncomfortable she may be.

Thanks in advance for any help

We used Reggie's cave tubing four years ago and it was wonderful! Definately better than what could have been booked through the cruise. They met us at the docks and dropped us off at the same placed. We paid nothing until then.

On a side note - when they say take everything out of your pocket do so! You can leave your valuables in their van. Their reputation on CC keeps everything safe. My uncle had his and his families ID all in his velcroed pocket along with most of his money and all of his credit cards. What a disaster - it ended up going down the river. Thank goodness there were several family members to loan him money. The cruise line gave him a copy of their pictures taken for their ID's and that was what they had to use for their airport ID's.

What ever you do - have fun. It's awesome thinking you are cruising throught the 'jungles' of Belize!
