What's App app tutorial needed desperately!!!!

Traveling on the Bliss out of Vancouver to LA.  Need to be in contact with family back home who all have Iphones.  Can I use this app in Vancouver..How about on the ship? I am guessing this uses data, so I will need to have the wifi plan on the ship?   I am not really sure how it works.  Please help!

I've been told that the unlimited social media plan will cover WhatsApp. I think I paid $87.

Just make sure the people you want to contact also have the app.

WhatsApp is used with WIFI - e-mail and text messages.

 

Receivers need to have WhatsApp downloaded also.

Yes, WhatsApp works great. I was able to send text and make phone calls.

Yes you can use with the Social Media Package.  I did this on my TA cruise in April and it was so cool.  I texted and even talked to my friend that was touring Paris from the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.  You can google on how this app works which is what I did as this was the first time I had used it.
