Skippers Club vs. Fun Pass

I am a member of the Skippers Club, but I have also completed my online check-in (fun pass). If I have already completed the fun pass what does the Skippers Club exactly do for me? Is there a difference? Thanks for you input.

IF your port has a skippers club-- you wont have to wait in line to check in.

The fun pass is to allow your information to be keyed in by you--instead of at the checkin.. it saves a few minutes that you dont have to wait while the agent types in that information

We leave from Miami. So if I understand you correctly even though you complete the "Fun Pass", there is still some waiting time involved, correct? Thanks!

There should be no waiting in Miami. I have used Skippers in Miami several times and have always been checked in and escorted past any lines.

 

They tried to have me wait in the boarding area after check in once. I walked up to a rep in a red blazer and asked if I had to wait. He said "no, follow me". He escorted us right to the gangway to board.

 

It is a nice perk.

I've done both a honestly on this last cruise it would have been quicker to do the normal check-in line as I guess every suite passenger arrived at the same time and the Skipper's Club was swamped. Of course there were nice sofa to wait on as opposed to standing up but there was basically no waiting at the regular counter.

 

On the Destiny as well there was absolutely no line at checkin so I skipped the Skipper's Club there- why bother when you can just walk right up to a window.

We had Skippers Club and you wait in line with others until you pass thru security then you tell them you have Skippers Club and you have priority boarding (lineless) from then on. If the ship isn't ready you wait with others in Skippers Area & then get on ahead of lines that have formed

Although it is on their page that Fort Lauderdale has a skippers club--pier 19 has been reported that there is none.

also in Tampa- skippers club is priorty check in only. After they checked in tHe people behind me while boarding were skippers club and we had a cat 8A.
