Help with Chinese Visas!

Hi everyone, this is my first post and I'm looking for some advice.  I'm going to China in October and staying in Beijing for three nights then heading to Tanjin for a 12 night cruise.  I won't be in China longer than 74 hours but I'm not sure what visa I need?  I'm flying from the UK to Beijing then will leave China on the cruise ship.  I won't be visiting any other ports in China (other than Hong Kong which I know I don't need a visa for)

any advice would be greatly appreciated

thanks

If you are staying in Beijing less than 144 hr there is a similar regulation as in Shanghai and you can enjoy a visa exemption.
Some conditions apply. More infos here:

If you are looking for a tour company I  HIGHLY recommend Chinahighlights.com, those are the ones from the first link above.
