George Town: Any snorkeling right from a beach?

While we were there on a boat, there were shore snorkelers at the Wreck of the Cali. We also went to Cheeseburger Reef, which was further out from shore, but still accessible with a bit of a swim.

Eden Rock has stairs to the water, so I would imagine it would be as difficult as a boat ladder.

Smith's Cove

away from town so seldom a crowd

a few picnic tables, plenty of shade trees, a simple bath house and rest rooms.  No rentals or food bring your own water ... and snorkel gear; occasionally a drive by ice cream guy!

If wind/seas are out of the west it is probably NOT a good place ... this is most common in the late winter & spring ... same conditions that can make tendering difficult

popular beach for folks staying at Sunset House
