SouthernSun Posted August 30, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2019 Hello, My family and I will be in Rotan in December aboard The Allure of the Seas and I am wondering if I should even attempt to get of the ship. Does anyone know how accessible the port is for a wheelchair or are there even any excursions or transportation for anyone in a wheelchair? Thank you in advance for any information you can provide. Rare crewsweeper Posted August 30, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2019 Coxen Hole is fairly accessible for wheelchairs. There's a second level of shopping, but don't recall any elevators, just stairs. Some one else may know. John Sage's website, Accessible Caribbean Vacations has a couple of site seeing tours with wheelchair accessible transportation.
#1TravelMom Posted September 3, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 3, 2019 I agree with crewsweeper. Look for a website that caters to those in wheelchairs. Much of Roatan is rustic and not easily accessible. It would be good to book with someone who has specific experience.
