n2chocola8 Posted September 6, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2019 I am allergic to smoke and just realized my cabin is one deck below the area that smoking is allowed. My question if for those of you who have had a balcony cabin on forward starboard side did you notice any smoke bothering you while on your balcony? Rare ORV Posted September 6, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 6, 2019 Smoke generally rises. But it does occasionally get caught in that corner if the windows aren't opened. There are times it can be smelled in the area around the stairs and elevator. If you're that sensitive to it you might try moving.
vaitape Posted September 6, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 6, 2019 We will never EVER book a forward starboard room again. On our cruise in June, we were frequently awakened as early as 5:30 am from the smell of both cigarettes and cigars. We were in a forward cabin on Deck 7. Move if you can. orchestrapal Posted September 8, 2019 #4 Share Posted September 8, 2019 We also can not stand smoke and find the forward stairs unusable by us. We learned this early on before the enclosures for smokers in the lounge but find the door open often and the air quality up there is still very poor.
