drink package as a perk -third person

We have the drink package for both of us.

 

My adult son comes with us. So I have to buy it for him?

When the package is received as a perk, the 3rd passenger does NOT have to purchase it.  The requirement for all passengers in the cabin to purchase it only applies when it is purchased, not as a perk.

you don't have to - but look at the drink prices. We sailed with a friend and I made him passenger #2 because he drinks more than I do & paying per drink for me was cheaper than buying a 3rd package

You don't have to buy it if yours came as perks, if you bought them then yes everyone in the cabin has to have on. To actually make purchasing the package worth while you really need to drink a lot. If one of you drink a lot less than the other 2 consider putting that person as the 3rd person in your cabin. That way the 2 heavier drinkers have the package and the lessor pays for the drinks. It could save you money.

If he wants it you have to buy it, but it is usually less expensive to pay asa you go for drinks.
