For anyone who might be travelling on the A19 around the Sunderland area over the weekend. Part of it will be closed from 8pm tonight for 3 days. If you are going to Washington for the coach or travelling down from the other side of the tunnel give yourself plenty of time for diversions.

Those roadworks at Testos roundabout are due to last till summer 2021.

Is that the road Chris Rea sang about ?  He was obviously travelling south! - joke by the way for the surfer who got upset at my last comment about ‘living up north’. (I can almost see the old ICI Wilton flare as I type. )

We drove north through there a couple of days ago & Testo’s was no problem but north of the tunnel you now whizz through where the  Silver Link round a bout used to be.

We live in Sunderland. The only way to travel is any direction AWAY.
