muffin1327 Posted September 16, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2019 This is our first time looking at Balcony cabins and would like some information on the category 2B cabins. Best location, Port side or starboard etc.
Rare mom says Posted September 16, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2019 (edited) Since your question is ship specific, it would be better to post this on the Celebrity board. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/16-celebrity-cruises/ On that board is a sticky with a spreadsheet that reviews Solstice class cabins. All regular balcony cabins on Solstice class ships are identical, the only difference is location (and possibly balcony size in the case of "hump" cabins). Port or starboard makes no difference, IMO, on the majority of itineraries. However if smoking bothers you, be aware of the DSA on the port side Promenade deck. Just like any ship, if motion bothers you, go for a midships location. We prefer a deck with cabins above and below us to avoid possible noise issues from public areas, so would choose deck 7 rather than 6, all else being equal. Rare mom says Posted September 16, 2019 #5 Share Posted September 16, 2019 It's at the top of the Celebrity board main page. Here's a link: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/863876-s-class-cabin-information-compilation-please-do-not-post-cabin-questions-here/ Click on the spreadsheet link in the first post. Note: this is a VERY long spreadsheet that is arranged numerically by cabin number. It's not really intended for casual reading, but is good if you have a few specific cabin numbers and want to see if there are any problems that have been noticed.
