Mira28 Posted September 27, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2019 I am booked on the Bliss (Ocean view guarantee) for sailing on March 1, 2020. Final payment is due November 2, 2019. Is it to my advantage to make final payment earlier than that as far as the assignment of a cabin? I have seen posts saying that cabins are assigned at all different times, so do not know what, if any, benefits there might be to making the payment earlier. I'd be happy with any ocean view cabin, but it would be exciting to know it well in advance. Also, I have seen that shows and dining can be booked at 120 days prior to sailing and wonder if it is best to do this on that date. Thanks! I haven't cruised in five years so very excited! Starry Eyes Posted September 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2019 I not it think paying sooner will help you get your cabin assignment any sooner. NCL knows that even if you call in your credit card number for the balance today, you could still call back and ask for a refund before the final payment date/penalties begin. So there is no reason for NCL to treat your cabin assignment any differently. Right now, keep watching for any sales or price drops that you might be able to snag before final payment; some people get lucky and catch one. You might as well make reservations as early as possible. More options are available at 120 days than at 70 days!
