AndreaBouw Posted October 3, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2019 Hi. I will be cruising on the Pearl for Christmas and New Years and was wondering if you are allowed to bring your own scooters on board. I have limited mobility due to Multiple Sclerosis. My scooter isn’t very big but it sure helps with my fatigue for walking long distances and it also helps my left knee which is very weak and over extends causing pain if I am standing or walking too much. Thanks in advance.
VtMac Posted October 3, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 3, 2019 (edited) Sure, do some math and just make sure you have an easy spot to park in your cabin. Typically they can't be parked in the passage way, although with my BIL if they were just popping into the cabin and back out they had no issue, overnight it was in the cabin. Call the airlines if you are flying as well and make sure the battery you have is airline safe, they will also check it straight through for you and make your connections via golf cart. United was done that way without a fee, Delta this year is the same. Enjoy that Holiday trip! Edited October 3, 2019 by VtMac
quillwercruisers Posted October 4, 2019 #3 Share Posted October 4, 2019 Also if you can't take your scooter on the airlines, you can contact scootaround.com, and you can rent a scooter from them for your cruise. They will deliver it to your cabin, and then you leave it there and they will pick it up. Enjoy your cruise!!

bssc Posted October 4, 2019 #5 Share Posted October 4, 2019 The accessible cabins are well laid out with space for a scooter and a dedicated power outlet.
AndreaBouw Posted October 4, 2019 Author #6 Share Posted October 4, 2019 It’s not an accessible room, there weren’t any in the balcony sections, which is what we want too. My scooter is pretty small and it comes apart for convenient storage.
