retired2008cruiser Posted October 6, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2019 We cruise into Manhattan New York in March 2020. Should we book a transfer to Newark Airport with a super shuttle now (77.00 CAN total for 3 people) or will there be some at the cruise port to book? The Manhattan cruise port is located at some of the most congested street crossings in NYC and sone of the particular piers require pickups across the street. Basically, it's a zoo. And you won't find non-reserved legitimate transport services (other than licensed taxis) just sitting there. You will find wannabe limos (mostly unlicensed gypsy cars) but, avoid them. Instead of Super Shuttle, consider their more upscale service, ExecuCar, which will cost about $95 (and you won't need to accommodate other than your 3 people). Corby114 Posted October 6, 2019 #3 Share Posted October 6, 2019 Carmel and Dial 7 Limo are two large companies that are highly recommended by many Cruise Critic posters for transportation service in the New York metropolitan area. There vehicles are clean, have knowledgeable drivers and reasonable rates. They are so much nicer than being transported to Newark Liberty International Airport in a Super Shuttle commercial van. A few dollars more but definitely worth it!
