AIr Tahiti Nui upgrades

We are booked on the Oct 14 2020 cruise and used our TA to do all the arrangements including using the air package through the PG.

The flights for next October are coming online in a few days.

 

My question is, how soon can we contact our TA to contact PG to upgrade our flight from LAX to premium economy?

Has anyone had any issues in dealing with PG and upgrading their air to  premium economy?

We called our TA and asked if an upgrade to premium economy was available on our PG arranged flight,s and how much it would cost. She contacted PG, and called us back. We were only looking for an upgrade on the LAX to PPT portion of the flight, and the price seemed very reasonable to us. We said yes, and we didn't regret it. We would definitely pay for the premium economy upgrade on a return from PPT to LAX as well.

We, however, were on a PG cruise that ended in Fiji. The flight from Fiji to LAX didn't have a premium economy offering, but still had a plane that had 2-4-2 seats in economy. We had 2 seats near the front of economy, and didn't want to pay for an upgrade to business class on the Fiji to LAX flight. We did OK on our overnight flight.
