Atlantis location from dock in P.I.

We are sailing on the Jewel of the Seas February 25. We are stopping at Paradise Island, Bahamas and are wondering how far is the Atlantis from the dock. Could you walk or take a taxi? Anyone know how much a taxi would be the get there? Can you take a tour of the hotel on your own or is there a cost?

You can take a taxi or water taxi over. It isn't terribly far, but would be a hike to walk it. We took the taxi over and I'm thinking it was about $7/person going...maybe a little cheaper coming back. It has been 3-4 years since we have been. It is definitely worth going over to see. Very cool place! They also have an acquarium you can pay to go through if you have time. Have a great trip!

I recommend the water taxi. The cost is 6.00 round trip and you purchase your tickets where all the shops are when you get off the ship. You cant miss it. The crew tells you a brief history during your ride. I go 4-5 times per year and the boat ride doesn't get old. We do not usually do a tour of Atlantis. I have seen the fish aquarium. It's big. If you go over to P.I. it is more of a shopping location, unless you want to go to the casino.

regular land taxi is $4 in either direction. they let you off right at the front door.
