Car rental companies?

Arriving at George Town in February 2020 and need a car.  My old favorite car rental company, Cayman Auto Rentals, now only accepts reservations 30 days in advance.  But, in order to make other reservations, I need a confirmed one-day car reservation earlier than 30 days ahead. The chains (Budget, Hertz, Alamo) are all showing a 3-day minimum rental period for February.  Andy's Auto Rentals has one-day rentals and takes reservations 6 months ahead but their Google & Tripadvisor reviews aren't good.  That seems to leave me with only Marshall's Rent-a-Car (unless you have other suggestions). Marshall's offers one-day rentals and is taking advanced reservations. However, no one I've chatted with has heard of Marshall's.  Has anyone used Marshall's Rent-a-Car? If so, were you happy? And how did you get from the cruise port to Marshall's (near the airport)?  Thanks in advance!

We haven’t used Marshall’s, but we’ve used Andy’s a lot.  Yeah, some of their cars can be a little beat up, but they get you where you’re going and their prices are reasonable.

The vast majority of car rental places are going to be by the airport, or along SMB far enough to require a taxi if the company doesn’t offer a shuttle.

When you checked the chains, did you look on the actual Cayman franchise website, or on the US version of the site?  Try the actual company in Cayman, since most of them have (or used to have at least) a section on the website dealing specifically with cruise ship visitor rentals.

I didn't know about these Cayman-based franchises' websites. We'll be booking with the Dollar/Thrifty company at Balboa Beach -- a very easy walk from the port.
Wonderful insight! @bookbabe -- Thank you, thank you, thank you.
