Going cave tubing in just under two weeks and Im wondering if wearing my old Teva's would be ok instead of going out and spending more money on water shoes, any thoughts?

I wore old tennis shoes for the hike and the tubing...I was fine...others wore Tevas and they were fine...actually the only ones in our group who complained were those who wore water shoes or water mocs or aqua shoes....they were fine for tubing, but apparently the soles were not comfortable because of all the little rocks along the trail while hiking.

Tevas will work, just bring a spare pair of snickers to change into afterwards.

We all wore Tevas the entire time, and we comfortable even without changing. I think they are much more suited for the hike than water shoes and less squishy for the walk back than wet tennis shoes.
