Received the excursions and pricing info from Katie yesterday and am sharing it here...Nice options for smaller or larger groups...

Thanks so much for the email. What date are you on Tortola? Once I hear back from you I will check Captain Malcolm's availabilty to show you and your family out on a GREAT day around these beautiful islands while you are here! He's a friend of Mitch and he's been a good boat captain for many years down here in the BVI.  He's not an "internet-type-of-guy" so we send him referrals and book him when we are already booked.  He's fun, funny, and dependable, and competent.  Photos and some past guest reviews can be found: www.oceanmagicmitch.com/captain-malcolm
and by visiting Trip Advisor: Ocean Magic Mitch Island Tours and running a search for "Malcolm" in the reviews.

He has 2 main suggested tours:
Jost van Dyke tour => great snorkeling at the Indians (if you’re interested), Sandy Spit (adorable little sand island home of the corona commercials), Foxy’s (if requested) and White Bay (home of Soggy Dollar and One Love). White Bay is also loved by the kids because it is a beautiful white sandy beach with palm trees and shallow aquamarine water…perfect for swimming and building sand castles plus cocktailing and swinging in hammocks for adults.  He backs the boat as close to the beach as he can, then you hop off, swim in, and wade on to the beach…thus the name of the most popular bar on White Bay: Soggy Dollar.  If this is a problem for any "less-mobile" members of your group, there is another docking option, please let us know.

Baths special* (for cruise ships that depart Tortola 3pm or earlier) => stop at the breath-taking Baths; Virgin Gorda, the infamous Willy T floating bar for a drink and/or lunch kids love to jump off the back of the 2nd-level deck, Little Harbor, Peter Island for optional snorkeling

BVI special* => tour of the breath-taking Baths; Virgin Gorda, stop at Cooper Island or for a drink, lunch, and a drink then snorkel off the rocks by Cooper, the infamous Willy T floating bar for a drink and/or lunch as kids love to jump off the back of the 2nd-level deck, then finish your day with spectacular snorkeling at the Caves (1 of the top 2 snorkeling spots around - blue tang and stoplight parrotfish) and a stop at Pirate Bite Norman Island.

*It takes about 45 minutes by boat to get to the Baths.  Once you arrive, you can jump in the water and swim about 20 meters to the Baths (he has life jackets if some people are not strong swimmers) but many people do not need those and are comfortable swimming.  There is a rope you can grab and hold nearly the entire way in to the beach. Then you walk around the Baths, Devil's cove, and relax/play on the beach, etc.

The price for your private charter for up to 6 people: $800 plus $200 fuel

The price for your private charter for 7-10 people: $1,000 plus $200 fuel

Additional price for 11th and 12th guest $100 per person (so 11 people = $1,100 plus $200 fuel and 12 people = $1,200 plus $200 fuel)

IF you wish to add Jost van Dyke to the BVI Special and your ship does not depart before 5pm, you can do so by adding $200 for fuel.

On board, he has snorkel gear, water, beers, and sodas, alcohol, light snacks and upon request: pastries.

Captain Malcolm also has a special boat and price for COUPLES (23’ Contender seats up to 3 passengers): $550 plus $200 fuel includes captain, snorkel gear, and a cooler of beers, waters, and sodas

IF you wish to add Jost van Dyke to the BVI Special and your ship does not depart before 5pm, on the smaller 23’ contender, you can do so by adding $100 more for fuel.

Captain Malcolm will make sure you get back to the ship in plenty of time to depart as well as have plenty of fun time on the boat and at the beaches and bars.  He does it all of the time!

Captain Malcolm will meet you right at the taxi dispatch area after you exit the cruise ship pier and together you will walk about 1 block to where you will board his boat.

Captain Malcolm grew up in the BVI, so he knows the waters VERY well and knows many interesting tidbits about the Islands and living life on them.  He offers a departure from the run-of-the-mill tourist attraction by sharing a bit more of an authentic experience thanks to our local Captain.  It’s a FUN day on the water, all of our guests tell us this!

Please note he currently only accepts cash, currency on the BVI is U.S. dollar, and gratuity is always appreciated but not included.

Please let me know if you have any more questions or if you would like me to check with  Captain Malcolm to see if he is available that date.

Kind Regards,
Katie
