Rent or Uber?

I'm flying in to MCO a day earlier than my cruise and have a hotel booked at Coco Beach.

 

The Uber fare estimator says it's $62 from MCO to my hotel. Then $22 from my hotel the next morning to the Pier (seems a bit high).

 

I can rent a car from MCO for $60 and return to the Budget over on Mullet Dr the next day (I assume there's a shuttle bus that takes me to the pier once I return my rental car?)

 

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on what they would do. Rent or Uber it?

We rent - you can go to dinner, hit the store for some last minute goodies, especially if you're limited on luggage weight - we buy our toiletries in Florida.

Okay, guess i'm renting. 

 

Am I correct in assuming that there's a shuttle bus that takes me to the pier once I return my rental car? 

 

It'll probably be a budget/alamo rental. Which is showing me to return the car at 8401 Astronaut Blvd

Depending on the amount of luggage, if you’re sailing RC it’s walkable.  Either way there should be a shuttle.  I prefer the rental for the ability to get places like dinner that night as others have mentioned.
