RYPERO Posted February 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2006 Here are some Pictures of the Spirit in dry dock in SF. My usual picture spot was blocked with construction so I had a side angle. http://www.kodakgallery.com/Slideshow.jsp?mode=fromshare&Uc=wncotrb.c4vkffkv&Uy=-qi51ww&Ux=

rduke Posted February 2, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 2, 2006 I hate to put a damper on this show & tell. But although it appears to be a good picture of Spirit except for some sort of crane in the picture there really is no evidence that anything is being done!!!(I am sure there is!!) but you certainly could not tell it from this pictures!!! Sorry:(

phroggie Posted February 2, 2006 #10 Share Posted February 2, 2006 If I am seeing this correclty it looks like a wet "dry" dock. Look at the eighth picture: you can see the port azipod. It don't git dryer than that. Thanx sooo much RYPERO!
Devo1459 Posted February 2, 2006 #11 Share Posted February 2, 2006 rduke. It must be a bummer for you being so negative about everything in life.
cruznon Posted February 2, 2006 #12 Share Posted February 2, 2006 If it looks as if nothing is being done, that means there must be some very busy folks INSIDE the Spirit making her shiny and new!!!! We're on the second cruise after dry dock.....whopeee!!!!!! Thanks for the great pix,RYPERO. Do you live in the SF area? If so, maybe we'll have more pix ????:D

But although it appears to be a good picture of Spirit except for some sort of crane in the picture there really is no evidence that anything is being done!!!(I am sure there is!!) but you certainly could not tell it from this pictures!!! Sorry:( I suppose that they spend all of this time and money to take her out of service just to pretend to work on her. You are the same kind of person who believes that we have never been to the moon and it was fake. As for the rest of us we will enjoy talking about cruise ships and what might or might not be happening

You are the same kind of person who believes that we have never been to the moon and it was fake. As for the rest of us we will enjoy talking about cruise ships and what might or might not be happening I assure that I am not a negative person at all..All I am saying is that you have some nice pic's of Spirit from the outside and looking at your pics there is almost nothing to indecate the work that is going on inside. nor can there be ..I will be on Spirit in late Feb. and I have taken Spirit to Alaska about 2 years ago. So just for the record I probably know a great deal more about Spirit than you do!!!!

jw4jg1mg2eg1 Posted February 2, 2006 #18 Share Posted February 2, 2006 I've always been curious about how much was underwater & it surprises me that there really isn't as much as I thought. :)
Hammerman417 Posted February 3, 2006 #19 Share Posted February 3, 2006 Excellent Pics. Now RYPERO, your next task if you choose to accept... Grab a hard hat, sneek onboard and act as if you belong. cherylandtk Posted February 3, 2006 #20 Share Posted February 3, 2006 And for everybody who thinks nothing is happening because the outside looks perfectly 'normal' --look again. Notice any empty davits?

cherylandtk Posted February 4, 2006 #23 Share Posted February 4, 2006 Texas fyre, I had to check the spelling so that's Ok. LOL. Its the thing that holds the lifeboats. If you look at the first set of pictures you will noticed that all those big huge orange boats are missing, and the davits are sitting empty.
