Affordable hotel in Old San Juan???

Is there a clean affordable hotel in Old San Juan?

What is your budget?  What is the time of year you will be visiting?  How many beds in each room?  This will help narrow your choices.

I've stayed at the Milano.  It was old, but clean.   Worth the price for a single night. Great rooftop bar/restaurant.    Staying at the Casablanca on the next trip.

We have booked Fortaleza Suites for March 2020 and its right in the heart of Old San Juan. We are paying $179 for the night.

We stayed at Fortaleza Suites last year.  Be sure you ask for a second floor room.  Rooms on the first floor open to the common area and it was very noisy.  They do not have a 24 hour front desk so there is no one to monitor the guests when they come in late at night and congregate in the lobby.  That was the only negative we experienced.

Going in March 2020. Thank you for the ideas. As far as budget didn’t want to spend $200 a night for 3 rooms, 2 couples and myself and my niece. So 4 beds

We found an airbnb with 4 beds. Going in early March.

A Vrbo or Airbnb might be your best bet for that many people and price.  You may have to venture out of OSJ to San Juan proper to get the lowest price.  March is a very expensive time because of Spring Break.  I have had my hotel for 6 months now (going in February).  Many of the lesser expensive may be sold out already.  Get on Trip Advisor, Hotels.Com  and other sites and do some research.  Be sure to check reviews.  Good luck.
