Enquiry - Single O/View (KC) cabins on Queen Elizabeth

I am a solo traveller considering booking a Single Oceanview (KC) cabin on Queen Elizabeth and would be most grateful for any feedback/comments from anyone who has sailed in this category on QE.  In particular, any cabins to be avoided (due to proximity to crew working areas / passageway traffic etc) would be appreciated. I have previously sailed in a KB category on QM2 and found the cabin pleasant and comfortable, and the location convenient. Thank you for your assistance with my enquiry.

Please avoid single cabin 2018 (  cabins just behind the casino)

2018 is at the far end of the corridor and is adjacent to a working area and a slamming door !  ( a very busy working area throughout the day )

I had the most miserable time in that cabin on an Alaska cruise 2019. Finally, after three days customer services managed to move me . I must point out  only after I insisted that senior  officers from the hotel department visit the cabin, they were shocked at the level of disturbance .

Indeed rog747,  I believe far too many solo guests rush to book these single cabins without taking time to look into promotions on other grades/categories . These single cabins are almost always the first to be sold,  (as there are only a few of them)  and often 'offered at a premium'.

I certainly would never opt again for a single cabin, especially on the vista class ships , these additional single cabins were an afterthought and added without any consideration of what other  'crew working venues' are in the immediate area.

I agree with rog747,  the single cabins on QM2 are slightly better, however, far better value to look for a discounted twin, even with the single supplement.

I agree with BellBoy about the single cabin closest to the crew area door - frequent usage so the noise of opening/closing and loud conversations is very annoying.  I stayed in the only single inside cabin in that section of cabins behind the casino - there's one cabin that doesn't have a window, but otherwise it's the same as all the other singles.  I thought the location was very convenient on Deck 2, since I spend a lot of time in the Queens Room and Golden Lion Pub.  Other than the crew (officers I believe) walking through the short hallway en route to the door to their area and chatting with each other, it was quiet.  Luckily, they walked quickly and the sound of conversation traveled with them and then, poof, they were through their door.  I don't have a deck plan handy, but there a few single cabins to the right of the entry door from the casino and I think they would be the quietest!
