Corfu port--beach or tour?

We were going to do a tour in Corfu; but I see a beach escape. 

We are doing a 12 day Med cruise with 8 ports--all likely to be pretty intensive sightseeing.

Soo--beach or tour?

Hi!  I wish I had experience with Corfu but, like you, I'm still planning.  We will be there in August 2020.  From what I've read so far, it really depends on how long you have in port.  We are only in Corfu from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm.  For longer days, it seems that Paxos & Antipaxos are the best beaches nearby but you need to take a ferry (separate islands).  For us, since we have limited time, I've read that the public bus system is very good, easily accessible and right at the cruise port.  The bus can take you to local sights and also beaches.  I did find this post about local beaches:  https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g662629-i12791-k4256974-Beaches_Within_Walking_Distance_Of_Port-Corfu_Town_Corfu_Ionian_Islands.html
