HERKIMER417 Posted January 24, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2020 I have not been there for several years and I'm sure that a lot has changed. Suggestions for a smooth day would be appreciated. Has anyone seen it since last falls storm? Jack
Rare PrincessArlena'sDad Posted January 24, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2020 We were last there August 2018. It was amazing. Not much (if anything) had changed since August 2014. Except the prices for cabanas. They went up. A lot ($270 to $360). However, for a smooth day, I do recommend a cabana. Or, better yet, if traveling with a large group, a villa. Cabana gets you a ticket on the first tender. Snacks, great base camp, And very relaxing day. If someone in your group has sun sensitivity of any kind, then it's a no brainer. BNBR Posted January 25, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 25, 2020 Not a damn thing has changed. And that's a good thing. Get a Villa if you can swing it.
HERKIMER417 Posted January 25, 2020 Author #4 Share Posted January 25, 2020 Appreciate the input How big are the cabana's and villa's? How many can fit comfortably? We are a bunch of seniors and like a little extra room. I'm guessing you can reserve the cabana with the ship before you sail? Jack

Jack Cabanas and villas both sellout well in advance of sailing. You book them from your shore excursions page for half moon cay. Book one the day you book the cruise, if interested (full refund if you change your mind prior to sailing). Cabanas fit 4 adults comfortably. Villas at least 8. You can do a YouTube search for tours of them.
Laurab23 Posted September 13, 2020 #6 Share Posted September 13, 2020 Do the two story villas have their own restroom? Laura

And the restroom has a shower in it as well, though it's a cold shower (no hot water). The upstairs has a dining table, fridge, sink (kitchen-ish) setup and balcony. Downstairs has a hot tub and restroom. We find the villa well worth the cost and makes for an absolutely perfect beach day.
