Where should we eat?

We are doing a tour with Native Choice and getting back around 1, ship leaves at 5. I know we will want to have some lunch and then explore after we get back from the tour. Any suggestions where to eat? 2 adults/2 kids

I suggest catching a taxi and going to Tropicante on the malecon.  Good food, no cover. 

 

 If all you want is lunch and no beach time, look into  Ki'Ha along the street going back to the port from Native Choice.  Kids (of all ages) will like the ice cream. Great Coffee.  Good tacos.

There's a Mex-Italian place around there as well.  Owner is Italian and she typically has 2 beers for $5.   No slouch in the kitchen either. And if you don't want Mexican food Pizza Papi would be a suggestion.  Their pizza are very popular in the area.  Different from cruise ship pizzas.
