Apex cheaper than Edge?

I have only cruised once with Celebrity (which we LOVED), so I'm still a newbie when it comes to all things Celebrity, so maybe this is typical, but I've been looking at cruises for early 2021 and it seems as though the Apex is cheaper than the Edge for the eastern and western Caribbean itineraries. Is it normal for a newer ship to be more affordable? Just trying to understand and thought I would get your thoughts!

Usually a new ship is more expensive. Both Edge and Apex are doing a TA in Oct 2020. I’m on the Apex. The price different appears to be the Apex is about $600pp more for same SRs than the Edge. But the Jan/Feb 2021 Caribbean cruises, it switched and the Edge is more expensive. 

 

No idea what the set up on that is.
