gerryuk Posted February 11, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2020 My cruise arrives in the port of Savona, on a Sunday morning at 08.00. My flight leaves Genoa Airport at 13.00hrs, its the only flight I could get. Without braking the bank (the cruise line will have already done that for me) I was thinking of walking to Savona train station from the port and catching a train to the airport. Timewise, is this doable? Can anybody confirm that the train station at Genoa is attached to the airport or will I have to walk when leaving the train? Has anybody on here done this or will I have to shell out for a transfer from the cruise port to the airport, regards.
allmotormark Posted February 16, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2020 (edited) The train station is so close to the port in savona. So easily accessible. I haven’t actually used the train but this is from Genova airport page. I know that the train station is not connected to the airport. Genoa Airport is linked to Sestri Ponente Aeroporto railway station by the Flybus shuttle service. Flybus operates one ride every 15 minutes. You can use the Flybus service with a normal bus ticket (1,5 euros) or the bus+train local ticket (1,6 euros), and with a tourist ticket.
