lifeasme123 Posted February 18, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2020 (edited) NOTE: I do not want this thread to be about paying gratuities or not. Our booking comes with the drink package. We received an email from TA stating that if we prepay gratuities, we would not be charged gratuities per drink onboard. Is this correct? This is for our April sailing on Seaside. Thanks. sidari Posted February 18, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2020 (edited) If you have a drink package you will not pay any charges once onboard unless you buy a drink not covered by the package you have, the drink would also have a 15% gratuity added to it. I would guess that your travel agent does not know enough about MSC! Which Country have you booked in ? Edited February 18, 2020 by sidari

The only time we paid gratuities is when we want to give the bartender extra, or when we used the vouchers.
cruiseguyinorl Posted February 19, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 19, 2020 Your TA is incorrect. Pre-paid gratuities have nothing to do with per drink gratuities. And sidari is correct. If you have the Easy drink package, there are no gratuities anyway. Only very old drink packages charged a per drink gratuity but not for the drink itself. cellfree Posted February 19, 2020 #6 Share Posted February 19, 2020 Even if the TA is referring to the daily service charges, prepaying them has nothing to do with the drink packages.
