Blue Door Inn, Ft Launderdale?

Taking our first cruise out of Ft Lauderdale next January (Panama Canal transit to LA).  I’m visiting old college roommates in New Orleans and then meeting hubby in Ft Launderdale.  I will have two days by myself.  I booked a 3 night stay at the Blue Door Inn because I like to stay at AirBnBs (washer/dryer, kitchen, etc).  I have celiac so I like to be able to cook/prepare my own meals while traveling.

 

Has anyone stayed here?  I am getting a little concerned reading these boards regarding AirBnBs in south FL.   Blue Door Inn looks legit—I noticed that it also has its own website.

 

Address is:  1441 NW 6th Avenue Fort Lauderdale.  Thoughts about location?  As a single traveler, concerned about safety as well.  Will have a rental car with a drop off at the Port Everglades Avis site.

As a female traveling alone, I would NOT stay here.

 

The area is decent by day and can be bad at night.  

 

Keep looking.  Not a good area.

 

It isn't walkable to anything.

 

As best I can tell, it is a converted garage in someone's home.  It isn't an actual inn.
